Packaging Design

DANSK

Dansk is a heritage Scandinavian design company started in 1954, still producing home goods to this day. In it’s current existence, they are part of the Food52 family of brands. In my time as Senior Designer at Food52 I designed packaging for new seasonal product launches.

The identity for their packaging leans into classic minimal Scandinavian design concepts with only 3 colors and simple illustrations, but stands out on the shelf through the use of inverted/checkered illustrations.

EVERGREEN SUN

Evergreen Sun is a skin care brand focused on sun protection. It relies on a CDB infused formula to calm the skin after sun burn and has a slight green tint to balance out the red after being burned.

The branding is inspired by the daze you feel after spending hours at the beach, with notes of green to represent the ingredients and blue and grey to represent the beach. The visual language is supported by grainy gradients and dingbat style symbols.

In the logo mark, the E & G are interlocked to show strength, while the oval acts as a sort of ozone layer, protecting it from the sun behind. The logotype features a stretched lower-case e, signifying that your time in the sun can be elongated by using Evergreen Sun.

Food52

For this project, I was tasked with creating printed 4”x6” inserts for, which would go in every Food52 shipment from April to may 2024. They were created in partnership with Planet Oat, with a disocunted offer and a recipe for overnight oats. The design was created using the Food52 Identity, while using assets from Planet Oat.

Globe: Noa Deane Sprout Colorway

While I was designing skateboards at Globe, I got the opportunity to work on some branding and packaging for Noa Deane’s Sprout shoe colorway. Noa is known for being inspired by and surfing like the icons of the 90s, so we created a grungy, nostalgic graphic package. This included a logo lockup, tongue label, footbed graphic, and shoe box packaging.
